Not a one size fits all approach.

Therapy is a process that will vary depending on your specific needs and goals. Therapy may involve examining different parts of your past and current experiences. Exploration will be done with a sense of purpose and intention. Although there may be painful elements in your life that cannot be changed, we will work together to foster a new perspective and relationship to those sources of discomfort. Therapy can give you the opportunity to harness your power and send healing to the parts of you that are in pain.

Meet yourself as you already are-- whole and complete.

Each person has the innate ability to navigate challenging life situations. We approach obstacles using the tools that are available to us. However, at times the very mechanisms that our bodies and minds have created with the intention of protecting us begin to no longer serve us. We liken this concept to the act of wearing a special bullet proof vest. While the vest was created with the intention of protecting the wearer, there may come a time when it actually constricts and limits the user's movements. This is not a sign that the vest is bad or needs to be removed, rather a signal that the vest needs to be altered in order to better fit the current needs of the wearer. Together, we will examine the tools that you are currently using to navigate your life and determine how they can better serve you so that you can live a life that feels more fulfilling and in line with your values.

It's a journey that we will go on together.

The therapeutic process is co-created by the therapist and the client. Imagine that we are in a vehicle on a journey. The landscape is ever changing and the weather fluctuates as we travel. You are the driver while we sit alongside you, helping to navigate through the storms and holding faith in the journey when it is difficult for you to see the road.

Ultimately you are in control of where we go and when we get there.

It is our job to monitor the session and make sure that the work remains helpful and in line with your goals. Therapy takes courage. There may be points in the treatment when you experience your emotions more intensely. This is not a sign that things are getting worse, rather a signal that you are beginning to touch core emotions and are closer to healing. We will hold these emotions together so that you can emerge with a greater sense of wholeness which will allow you to have a deeper connection to yourself and others.
